Week Two: Looking Ahead to WA1
As we consider the readings we did in Week One and our readings this week (roughly focused on "failure"), start thinking about how you want to structure your WA1. Which sources do you feel support your point of view and/or challenge you to think about how you write? Will you approach this as a narrative or a research paper or something else? What are the advantages to each genre? What do you feel is "most appropriate" for this class (and why)?
Reading Responses: For the most part, I was very pleased with your work on the responses for Week One. Be sure to use the model I've supplied you with for Week Two and Week Three.
Individual Meetings: Your individual meeting with me next week is really for you to tell me how you are feeling about this class, the readings, etc., and also to tell me what you are planning for WA1. I do not want you to come to me and say "I don't know" - I am telling you now: have something to talk about.
Open Mic at The Club: You may earn 5 points of Extra Credit for attending the Open Mic at the Club (in the Student Center) on the 8th.
Have a good week,
Prof. Isip
